A group of residents in the Adelaide Hills township of Stirling are fighting to preserve what they Golden Goose Womens Sale say is the town's unique character.

The residents are fighting to stop the construction of a third supermarket in the town and say they have a petition against the development that contains more than more than Golden Goose Men Sneakers 5,000 signatures.

Spokeswoman Toni Glaab says residents Golden Goose Sneakers Sale are concerned that the development will hurt tourism in Stirling.

"We are GGDB Sneakers all concerned that this is going to go ahead regardless", she said.

"As everybody knows, those who live in Adelaide and the Adelaide Hills, that Stirling is renowned for its beauty and a lot of people visit for a day out and it's not to actually visit another supermarket.

"Trees of significance are going to be removed. A huge car park needs to be included and with that you have all the traffic associated with a supermarket. Huge Golden Goose Sneakers trucks coming in and out."
