Uppers are somewhat true to form with slight modifications pushing it towards something just slightly more futuristic while palettes do much of the same in its hits of ocean blue with accents of electric reds scattered throughout.

A base of white leather covers the smooth leathers and mesh of the underlays while the mudguard, heel wrap, and toe cap don a suede in lightened tans. Midsoles follow suit just a tad, leading into color blocked segments of a blue and a darkened gray while incorporating said tones across the upper’s many detailings.

The team at ASICS gave the iconic Kayano a refresh for its 26th year, but it’s still the same reliable stability shoe it has always been.To give the Kayano more bounce and a softer step-in feel, ASICS added a layer of FlyteFoam Propel on top of the FlyteFoam Lyte. Additionally, you get ASICS’ trustworthy silicone gel in the heel and in the forefoot, however, the forefoot gel is now hidden within the midsole.
