"After appearing on the Air Max 95, Air Max 98 and Air Max 270 React ENG, Nike’s “Watermelon” colorway has arrived on the Nike Air Max 90 Mujer. Most akin to the aforementioned ’95 silhouette, “Pink Blast” and “Ghost Green” animate the Air Max 90’s TPU eyestays. While notable, these details fall short in the statement-making when compared to signature mudguards, which are clad in the vibrant rose hue and met at the heel by “NIKE AIR” logo of equal flair. Elsewhere, the complementary Volt-like tone animates side “AIR MAX” windows, Air unit enclosures, forefoot tread and branding on tongues and insoles. “White” and “Black” fill in the gaps with the latter most notable at the profile Swooshes.

With Stranger Things over until an inevitable season four, the lasting impression the series has had in terms of modern day aesthetics is indisputable as many flock to vintage graphic tees, lightwash denim, playful all-over print shirting, and much more. With Nike surely being an integral part in the fashion scene of 1985 — the time at which the Netflix original takes place — their gracing us with a bright Nike Cortez Mujer Baratas under their “OG Collection” collaboration. Its iconic look is left to do much of the talking dressed up in a red tone throughout the majority of its color palette; white segmenting hits across the swoosh, heel tab, tongue, and midsole finish off a pair almost unmistakable from the past for those looking to feel connected to the retro cool of the era’s Hawkins natives.

In continuation of their 25th Anniversary celebration, Shoe Palace will release a second iteration of the Nike Air Huarache Baratas as part of their collaborative partnership with Nike Sportswear. This second version, highlighted by the retailer’s signature red color scheme, features illustrations by Bay Area artist Joonbug that represent the history of Shoe Palace with specific cues close to the heart of the SP family. This distinct graphic is featured on the neoprene bootie of the Huarache construction, while a metallic red heel clip and Huarache logo acts as a colorful contrast to the mosaic.

In the Adidas Superstar Baratas, it seems over-branding is the least employed, with most preferring to dress minimal in terms of presentation — some silhouettes even earning iconic status for that reason alone. But as the Superstar continues with its 50th anniversary celebrations, it’s been navigating a wealth of more out-of-the-box stylings, with DIY constructions and vibrant colors now being accompanied by a collage of labels. Adhered to its base, the wallpaper of all-over graphics covers from front to back stopped only by the shell toe and adjacent overlays; its core motif, which is a relatively standard rectangular logo, stamps atop a wide pile in all sorts of orientations. Elsewhere, the aforementioned accents — eye stay paneling, tongues, laces, and heel tabs — contrast by way of a dark black leather while the shell toe stays standard in its bone shade.
