Overnight we deployed a couple of new services for you to use.
First we've changed the way friends are managed on GolfStakes. Instead of just typing in a username and adding that person to your friends list, you now have to sent an invitation to become a friend. We're thinking that this will cut down on some random additions and give users a little more control over who can be a friend with them.
Second, because of the need to notifiy a user when a friend request has been made, we've added in an internal messaging system. You can find a new tab called 'Inbox' on your system dashboard. This is where you will see messages that have been sent, or ones that you have sent to others. Under the 'Inbox' you can also compose new messages and send them to friends who are on your 'contact list'.
