Japanese lifestyle label United Arrows & Sons have shacked up with adidas and come up with one of the most unique Adidas ZX Flux Winter Beige Comfort Slip-ons out there. The shoe is covered in camel and tan tones everywhere but the speckled mid sole, and interestingly uses corduroy on the toe-box.
Like no model before it, adidas has really let their imagination run wild with the ZX Flux. From the #miZXFLUX app and iridescent Xeno make-ups to woven uppers and printed midsoles, the German sporstwear brand seems to bring us something new every month. With this latest release we see the introduction of a vac-metalised cage at the rear. You can bank on the metallic heel making it’s way on to a number of colourways in the future or you can snap up this grey and blue pair right now from adidas stockists like JD Sports.
This new Adidas ZX Flux Grey fashion is business on top, and party down under. The heel counter matches the dark grey laces and, with the black upper, makes for a largely muted shoe. That is until you take into account the midsole that flagrantly boasts adidas’ signature prism rainbow pattern.
It’s fair to say that adidas blew our collective minds when they introduced the Adidas ZX Flux Red Stock in 2014 – a mind-melting, multicolour upper is one hell of a way to get our attention! With the printed uppers down pat, adidas have cast their eyes elsewhere and brought that same prismatic pattern to the midsole on this new Frost Yellow release.
