The Chicago Bulls' reportedly ramped up effortsto acquire Kevin Love materialized into a trade offer, with the franchise presenting Taj Gibson and 2014 SneakerMcDermott to the Minnesota Timberwolves in a package that includes"a few other assets" as well, according to the Chicago Sun-Times.Recently signed big man Nikola Mirotic could be another piece in the proposed deal, based on an earlier report from Sheridan Hoops. McDermott was signedon Tuesday night and cannot be traded until he has been under contract for 30 days.Minnesota is also weighing an offer from the Cleveland Cavaliers, who are said to be the frontrunners in the Love sweepstakes. The Wolves confirmed as much in talks with the Bulls, though they maintained that the Cleveland offer is not enough to sway them just yet, the Sun-Times reports.Of course, any deal with the Wolves is contingent on whether Love would be willing to take a long-term deal once traded.
