The NFL is far more popular, and endorsement deals will follow first round draft picks, but if an injury occurs football teams can cut ties with hardly any guaranteed money locked up in their investment. Zgonina Youth Brock Coyle Jersey , according to Alex Marvez. Zgonina just completed his second season as the 49ers d-line coach, and his fourth as an NFL coach. Previously he spent one season with the New York Giants as an assistant d-line coach, and the same role for a year in Houston.The 49ers defensive line had its share of ups and downs. DeForest Buckner had a huge breakout season, and Ronald Blair quietly put together a really solid season. Buckner had 12 sacks, while Blair had 5.5 sacks. Arik Armstead was healthy for the first time since his rookie year, and was particularly capable in run defense. He only had three sacks, but was third on the team in quarterback pressures.If the 49ers do in fact part ways with Zgonina, one name I’ll throw out there for kicks is Jim Tomsula. He is Washington’s defensive line coach, but there was a report earlier this week that he wanted out of the circus in DC. He may not get out, and even if he does Youth Arik Armstead Jersey , who knows if Kyle Shanahan would want him around, or if he would even want to return too the site of ugliness. Remember when Matt Breida was signed as a UDFA run

the San Francisco 49ers in 2017? I do. I remember looking at him Cheap Mike McGlinchey Jersey , the recently drafted Joe Williams, and promising Carlos Hyde and saying, “camp body.” But then he outplayed everyone (except for Hyde) and word came out that the 49ers were high on him through training camp. Next thing you know, he’s not just splitting carries with Hyde, he’s outplaying Hyde. At the end of the season, Breida was kept and Hyde was not re-signed. The 49ers went with Jerick McKinnon as the featured back, but you knew Breida had something. Then McKinnon blew out his knee. The 49ers signed Alfred Morris Cheap Fred Warner Jersey , but it didn’t take long for it to become Breida’s backfield, and there’s no way anyone is wrenching it from him. Even when injured and looking to be yanked for a Sunday as a precaution, Breida finds a way into the lineup and makes an impact every game. The flashy play in Week 2 against the Detroit Lions was something, but the performance he just had against the New York Giants was something else. 101 yards, two touchdowns, one of which was both a genius play-call and a great catch. All of a sudden Breida isn’t a last resort, he’s a focal point. One that worked his tail off to get there and one who is no longer a young rookie 49ers Brock Coyle Jersey , but a veteran with an example set to the younger players next year. Kyle Shanahan looks at him and tight end George Kittle as the hardest workers on the team: Remember, Williams was thought to be Shanahan’s guy. If Breida panned out it would be icing on the cake. Now Brieda is the guy. Some are not fortunate to get a chance to show what they have, and when they get it, it gets ripped right away after. Breida’s made the most of everything he has. Of course, the only thing to look at when you see Breida gashing defenders is what could have been. What would have been with Jerick McKinnon. Having both Breida and McKinnon in on a play to create misdirections (throw Kyle Juszczyk in there for good measure). Have to wonder if Shanahan is thinking the same thing about putting those two on the same down:Imagine what the backfield could look like with three strong pass catchers available? We’ve started to see it with Breida and Juszczyk back there, but imagine being able to swap in McKinnon as well? Or what about getting really crazy with all three in the backfield? We saw the 49ers run the full-house pistol formation quite a bit under Jim Harbaugh. We could see plenty of that, but how about they throw everybody off with a wishbone formation as well? The world will be Kyle Shanahan’s oyster when McKinnon returns.The Packers offense will dictate how this game goes for Green Bay The San Francisco 49ers face the Green Bay Packers Monday evening in a matchup of old rivals dealing with a host of issues in 2018. The 49ers are playing out the season without Jimmy Garoppolo and hope their defense can take a step forward. TEAM TOTALSFor the third week in a row, the Colts had trouble converting 3rd downs even with a favorable average 6.9 yards to go.Conversion on other downs made up for it though, as almost 32% of scrimmage plays resulted in a new set of downs, which was 6th best on the week. The tipped interception had a large impact on overall performance as 6.6 yards per play is a big number to only get 2.2 adjusted points per drive.PASSINGLuck shrugged off a poor Jacksonville performance, to put up some outstanding numbers on the week.40% of his passes moved the chains which is pretty unstoppable as long as the team can avoid sacks and turnovers. Vic Fangio makes no secret he would like to be a

Once Mike McCarthy got his walking papers and the Bears defense dominated the Rams on national television, connecting the dots was easy. It’s just not the right move for the Packers. Of course, it hasn’t just been one game that makes Fangio an appealing option. He built a dominating 49ers defense during their mini-run with Jim Harbaugh, one that stymied Aaron Rodgers more than once. His work with sub-par talent early in his Chicago tenure deserves its own plaudits, but even with Khalil Mack, Fangio should be lauded for his work turning the Bears into a suffocating defense in an era where such things were thought to be impossible. Fangio is one of the NFL’s true mad scientists, happiest tinkering in the lab with ways to stop opposing offenses. He’s a little gruff, but not particularly outspoken and while he provides outstanding defensive coaching and scheme Jake Ryan Jersey , there’s little evidence to suggest he’s the kind of alpha personality to come in and immediately demand the respect of a veteran football team set on winning a Super Bowl ASAMFP. Some have suggested the Packers need the new coach to inject accountability and discipline into the team, hold Aaron Rodgers to a higher standard and put his damn foot down. That’s not true. Mike McCarthy was an outstanding culture-setting coach and CEO of the Packers program. His voice simply ran its course. Fangio would likely represent a step back in terms of setting a Lombardi standard (as one former coach might put it). What the Packers need is a forward thinking coach with progressive ideologies about coaching, scheme, and personnel deployment. The calculation should be simple: the defense doesn’t have a coaching problem, it has a talent problem. The offense doesn’t have a talent problem, it has a coaching problem. So how does Fangio solve this exactly? If the answer to offensive stagnation is a hot young OC candidate, then just hire the offensive coach to begin with. More than likely the Zac Taylors of the world, even if successful, would be on their way to head coaching jobs in two years and then the team has to start over as Rodgers’ powers wain.
