Great Tournament Yesterday!

Thanks to all of the players who used Golf Stakes yesterday. It was really great to see the scores start to show up on the leader board as the teams played through the course.

Golf Stakes new Employee
|
Thanks for the welcome. Sorry it took so long before I got around to getting a reply made. I've been doing a lot of remodeling around here. New layouts, new graphics, new functionality and so forth and so forth.
What I would like from you folks out there is to let us, the development team, know what you would like from GolfStakes.com. What features are we missing, what things work for you, and what things don't work for you. We're all ears right now. So you can either make a comment in the forums, or you can leave a private message via GolfStakes contact us feature.

Well after a month long process, we've come up with a new logo for the site. We'll be rebranding everything with this new logo very soon. Let us know what you think of our new look.

We've not got a spot on the front page where you can easily see which courses are hot and each one is linked back to the courses home page so that you can see more details about it. Take a look on the front page for 'MOST POPULAR' and click on one of the courses listed.

New Edit Course Look
|
Just wanted to let everyone know that we've got a new look and feel for our edit course/add new course page. You can read more about the changes on our developers blog, or you visit the course edit page by logging into the site and searching for a course, and clicking the edit course link on the upper right corner of the course home page.
Let us know what you think of the new look and any improvements or problems that you might find.

Just to let eveyone know, very soon we will be having a section up for all of your Frequently Asked Questions. This section will step by step walk throughs of different actions that you can do here on Golfstakes. Along with that we'll have short videos linked with each question so that not only can you read about it, you can watch how to do something here.

New Edit Course Look
|
For all of those people wondering why a course didn't have any Tee information, well it was because our source for course information was a little off. We have been dealing with a couple thousand duplicate tee's which were provided for our course list. So instead of providing the wrong information to you, we've been holding off on updating the database.
Well now I am excited to let you know, we have all of the tees loaded into GolfStakes and you are free to start using the site to score your golf rounds. Tees on all courses should now be loaded, and each course is now ready to be played.
Thanks for waiting for this great update.

Tutorial videos
|
Our FAQ section now have videos attached to them. When you are reading an answer, just look for the link that generally says "Click here to ...". When you see one of those links, a popup window will appear and you will see a short video showing you what the FAQ answer was describing. If you have any problems or questions about the video or the FAQ in general, please don't hesitate to contact us either with our contact form, or by reply here in the forums.
